2 Magical yet easy Steps for Network Marketers to Recruit on Autopilot.

If you know what you’re doing, recruiting in MLM could be as easy as to driving a bicycle, then again if you don’t what you are doing it could be as hard as hitting a baseball. Unfortunately, 9 out 10 people that are involved in a mlm company do not know how to do it, they go after friends and family to try to CONVINCE THEM that this is a great opportunity, when you do that you become a salesperson. If you learn These 2 simple methods, you will be a recruiting machine!

Step 1: Learn Who Are The Right People For Your Business.

Most network marketers are introducing their opportunity to a group of people that have a “security mentality” “a 9 to 5 job mentality”, now there is nothing wrong with that but you want to stay away from them because they have no desire to start their own business, there are exceptions to the rule bust must likely they never will. These people are known as your warm market. The right person is someone who voluntarily takes action to learn more about an offer or service that you have. Otherwise, they are the wrong prospects. Think of yourself. How do you feel when your are out with your family and your cell phone rings with a telemarketer on the other end begging you into buying a product or service when you never requested for information in the first place. It can be quite disturbing. That's like network marketers approaching someone they know or don't know for that matter about what they have to offer when no one ask for it.

Step 2: Learn How To Have Your Prospects Come To You.

Instead of wasting away time, effort and money chasing after the wrong individuals, why not just learn how to have the right kind of prospects chase you instead. Can you imagine having 10 people a day contacting you about your opportunity? You do this by introducing a solution to their problem. They will static to raise their hand and want more information. What to you have now? Hungry quality prospects coming to you looking to learn more about your product or service that you have to offer. It is also a marvelous idea during this process to take the time to forge a relationship with them to build trust. People do business with people they like and trust. This is done by mentoring and providing value. At this point, you can also present your opportunity to these same prospects and if the timing is right, those that enjoy the value you provide and see you as a leader will be more willing to take a look at what you have to offer. Nevertheless, for all this to work you must be targeting the right prospects to begin with. This is what's known as Autopilot recruiting.

If You Want To Stop Calling Your Warm Market List, Then Make Cold Market Call You!!

I did exactly what my Upline told me to do. I made a names list and I started pounding through it. I was excited, informed and I had my Upline help me with my calls. So why wasn't I retired yet?!

Does this sound familiar? Are you struggling through your Warm Market List with very little success?

Well let's take a look at a few flaws in this approach.

1. A very LOW percentage of your friends/family are actively looking for a home based business.

2. A very HIGH Percentage of these same people have either been involved in the past or know someone who is or has been involved and is MAKING NO MONEY AT IT! These people blame our Great Industry and the opportunities for their failure. Instead of the fact that they introduced their opportunity to little to no people!

3. They just aren't interested, and see no need to Better Their Lives at this point in time. (AS EXTREMELY SAD AS THIS IS!)

Trust me, this is not everyone's experience. Many veterans in this industry have warm market lists filled with people ready and willing to take a SERIOUS look at what they are up to. Another group of people will recruit a few Superstars within months of starting their endeavor and will ride said superstars all the way to the bank! This was not the case for me, however, nor will it be the case for the vast majority.

So now we're thinking... There's got to be a better way! A way to get our opportunity and products in front of the Right People. The people who are out searching for what we have!

This is where attraction Marketing comes in. Now, take a look at that first word...Attraction. Sounds good doesn't it. It sounds like we will be attracting someone to us, through marketing. Well you're right! We have the ability to attract our most valuable asset to us. Other People who want to better their lives!

This approach is about Marketing YOU. It's about letting people see you as the leader you are and thus making them want to BE ON YOUR TEAM. This is natural because people are always looking for someone to Lead and Guide them in this business. This is why the Veterans build massive organizations in what seems like NO TIME AT ALL! They have already proven to their large list of people that they are a LEADER and that success WILL come on their team.

Now, how do we become this leader, this Attractive individual that everyone flocks to. Well, it is much easier than you would think. With the power of the internet and the FREE TOOLS that we use every day it is done quite quickly.

No need to be a web designer!

No need to have $1000s to invest in advertising! (Although this will be possible very soon!)

No need to enroll in a Marketing Program at a Four Year School!

The system that we were introduced to provides the websites, the amazing training, and many guides to market FOR FREE! If you follow the SIMPLE, STEP BY STEP PROCESS you will have all of the INTERESTED PROSPECTS you will need to grow your business and reach your goals.

WARNING---- YOUR WARM MARKET LIST MAY ALSO COME KNOCKING WHEN THEY SEE HOW THIS HAS CHANGED YOUR LIFE!

Ten Ways to Use LinkedIn to Build Your Business

Editor’s Note: Liz Ryan is CEO and founder of WorldWIT, the leading global online and offline network for women in business and technology. After seeing her many insights into virtual business relationships in both her newsletter and various spots around the web, we asked her to join us as an occasional guest blogger and she graciously agreed. Welcome, Liz!

I am interested in the posts I have seen on some of the LinkedIn-related Yahoo Groups that ask how LI can help build your business. I think of LI like my cell phone or my briefcase – it’s a tool. I don’t look at LI as a specific, revenue-goals-attached money generator. I’m not sure that it was designed to be that. But I definitely think that LinkedIn can be a business-builder if you approach it that way. Here are ten tips for using LI to build your business.

1) When you have significant news in your business – for instance, a big product launch or a joint venture – use LinkedIn to notify your contacts by way of a profile update. And in your accompanying email message to the network, say “I would love to catch up with you – want to make time for a phone call?” It’s that keeping-up process that sparks conversations about opportunities both for you and your contacts. It’s in these conversations (which could be done by email, although probably not as well) that ideas will arise about prospective clients, partnerships, and other revenue-generating projects.

2) Use LinkedIn to understand the relationships between people you know and people you want to know. For me, this is the heart of LinkedIn’s value – the ability to see at a glance how people you don’t know, but would like to, are connected to people who are closer to you. So when you find Mr. Lofty Dude in the LI network and realize that he used to work with your former admin assistant – a data point you almost certainly wouldn’t have acquired on your own – you can reach out to the admin and get, not only an introduction, but some intelligence about Mr. Dude’s current dealings, needs, and hot buttons.

3) Connect, by all means, with your former colleagues from every company that has ever employed you. There is something about old-workmate ties (unless you, er, aren’t the sort that former teammates think of fondly) that can’t be duplicated in most relationships of shorter duration. Seek out these old workmates, tell them what you’re up to and who you’re most interested in meeting, and offer to help them out as well. One good lead would be worth the price of LI membership – oh wait, it’s free – or anyway worth the price of your time doing LI searching and connecting.

4) Connect beyond the obvious. Let’s say that you would dearly like to work with General Motors, but you can’t find anyone at GM who seems especially suitable for contact as you search the LinkedIn database. No problem. Find a current GM vendor or customer in the functional area you’re interested in, and reach out to him or her. Is there something of value that you could offer in exchange for the introduction you want? In an ideal world, your sterling qualities and dazzling personality should convince this new acquaintance that introducing her client to you is something of value all by itself. But don’t bank on that. Offer to extend an invitation of your own, or design his or her new database, or something.

5) Use the LI database to understand more about your prospects. This is the beauty of LI – what other source will tell you where many or all of the senior execs of your prospect organizations used to work (given that only half a dozen of them have profiles on the company’s website)? Let’s say that you want to do some work for ABC Company. And lo and behold, half the ABC execs worked for PayPal back in the day and the other half worked for FedEx. Great intelligence! You see that they have a strong Notre Dame alum thing going on, and some connection to Stanford as well. Now you can use your FedEx and PayPal alum contacts, your Notre Dame folks and your Stanford fellows to help you get ‘over the wall.’

6) What’s in it for them? You wouldn’t email a complete stranger, even if you obtained his business card (say, by stealing the win-a-free-lunch goldfish bowl of business cards at P.F. Chang’s) to say “Hey, why not buy some stuff from me?” So please don’t reach out to new LI contacts by saying “Maybe you could help me make a new-business contact.” I wouldn’t recommend that. Instead, read this intended contact’s profile. Let’s say you are reaching out to me, who runs an online community. Two seconds of reading my profile would give you some ideas of things that might interest me. I guarantee that a typical working person could offer me something I’d be interested in. So, when you make your LI outreach, mention that thing that you could offer! Write “I would love to connect by phone, both because I’m interested in your relationship with [my most-desirable prospect company] and because I have great friends in the social networking community whom you should know.” Bingo.

7) Your contacts may be even more valuable to others than they are to you. Many people in the business community, especially avid networkers, have numerous connections that don’t do any [short-term, revenue-generating] good for them personally but that could be invaluable to their new networking contacts. Think about these valuable contacts as you reach out to people whom you hope might help you. For instance, I know lots of headhunters who have great media contacts – contacts I would drool over – journalists who regularly call them up for insights on the job market. Unfortunately, apart from occasionally mentioning in her stories that Joe Recruiter says that the job market is looking up, the journalist can’t do much for Joe – she isn’t going to write a profile on him any time soon, for instance. But she might write a profile on someone that Joe has just met through LI. Of course, Joe wouldn’t throw around her name carelessly – but he might say, “You know, I can’t guarantee anything, but for your kindness today I’d be happy to introduce you to my friend, an editor at the San Jose Mercury News, who might be interested to talk with you.” Rock on.

When you spot a cluster of people on LI who all know one another and are all accomplished in the same arena, that’s a really special thing. It means that a group of folks who perhaps worked together, or met online, or are part of a group together, represent a kind of mother lode of shared knowledge around a particular area – say, SEO or CRM or German opera. That’s huge, because jointly, these folks may comprise the lion’s share of the current thinking on the topic. You can reach out via LinkedIn to one of them, and say, “You know, I’m trying to get up to speed on the operas of Handel. Might I sent you an email message with some of my key questions, and ask whether you wouldn’t mind sharing your thoughts with me and also forwarding my message to your friend Jack Sprat, who could undoubtedly add a valuable perspective?” With luck, in the case of an inquiry like this, you are able to repay these experts’ valuable time with a gift of some kind (perhaps tickets to the opera). But many such people would refuse any compensation at all. It makes a huge difference how you present your situation and how graciously you pose your request. So much depends on good manners, doesn’t it?

9) LinkedIn in combination with Google News Alerts makes a great business tool. Let’s say you are looking to talk to folks at Fidelity who work in one product area. Use LI to find a name (or two or three names) of people at Fidelity who seem relevant to your situation, and whom you’d like to reach. Set up a Google News Alert on Fidelity, and set one up with the target person’s name (or a few names) so that you can learn when he or she has been quoted, is speaking on a panel, etc. This kind of intelligence will tell you what’s currently on the plate of this person, the issues he or she cares about, etc. What’s more flattering than an LI outreach message that says “I was so sorry to miss your speech at the Financial Muckety-Mucks Summit, but I was fortunate enough to read your thoughts on petro-dollars on Money.com and to catch your NPR interview last week.” Dang! Be diligent, but be careful that you don’t sound like a business stalker.

10) Vendors like to reach out to former clients, and that’s good, but it can be awkward when you haven’t kept up and have no idea what the former client is now up to. But of course, if you’ve got the contact info, thanks (let’s say) to Plaxo, you’re going to use it! LinkedIn solves the problem. Presto, you can track what your former client has been doing since you last saw him – no awkwardness. On top of that, instead of an open-ended “let’s catch up” message, you can say “Wow! You’re at Fidelity! You know, I see that you’ve only been in the job a few months, so we should definitely talk. It so happens that I’ve become something of an expert on Fidelity lately……” Now, that’s power networking!

Google AdWords vs. Free Search Engine Rankings

A lot of people ask me about the merits of buying clicks on

search engines with AdWords, vs. getting free visitors with

what's called "search engine optimization" - loading up your web

pages with strategic keywords so you can get ranked #10 or

#3 or #1 on Google's free search.

Well at first glance free is certainly better than paid, but

there are some big IF's that you need to consider first!

Remember: you can only optimize a website for maybe ten

words and phrases - not hundreds - so you should choose

very, very carefully.

But the most important thing is choosing the RIGHT

words and phrases to optimize for.

Now here's the kicker:

If you don't use a pay per click strategy to determine which

words and phrases actually attract paying customers first, you will

almost always choose the wrong keywords. The words you

initially think you want are almost always different than the ones

that actually work - believe me, I've made that mistake many

times.

Considering it takes 30 days to several months to see

results when you're playing the search engine optimization

game, you CANNOT afford to target the wrong keywords.

When you do pay per click campaigns properly, you'll

see that there are almost always a few really productive words

and phrases that only 2-3 people are bidding on, instead

of 10 or 20 bidders. What that means is that those people are

not optimizing their websites for those same keywords either.

Well just like pay per click, search engine phrases have

varying degrees of competitiveness. If you want a #1

ranking for the phrase "Digital Camera" it's going to be

a LOT harder than getting a #1 ranking for "Kodak DX6340"

which is a popular digital camera. And the traffic will be

much more targeted, too. When you do search engine

optimization, you must pick battles you can win.

So here's the lesson: Use my Definitive Guide to Google

AdWords to properly set up a pay per click campaign,

determine which keywords are productive, THEN do

search engine optimization based on what really works.

Then you'll get all kinds of free traffic and even more

income from your website:

Set Realistic Goals In Building Your Network Marketing Business

We set goals. And when we fail to reach these goals we become discouraged and decide it is not worth attempting to reach these goals as we probably cannot achieve them anyway.

The problem is not in setting goals. The problem is that we set unrealistically high goals that are difficult to reach and then we quit trying.

The solution is relatively simple: establish goals which are easily attainable at first and then more difficult to attain later.

For example, if you are just starting out in network marketing, it is unrealistic for most of us to sponsor two new representatives each week. Perhaps a more attainable level of sponsorship would be one new representative each month. Perhaps this is even too high when you are just starting out. Focus on sponsoring one new representative during your first sixty days in your new business. And, if you are unable to do this, reset the goal to one new representative in ninety days.

Apply the same basic principles to the marketing of your network marketing business. If you decide to market your business on Facebook, do not plan on making thousands of new friends each month. Set a goal of two hundred fifty new friends a month. As you achieve this, you can always increase your monthly totals to three, four or five hundred Facebook friendships.

Same thing applies to Twitter. We have all seen Twitter accounts with thirty or fifty thousand followers. And we are eager to hit those number of followers for ourselves as well. Again, being realistic, we have to start somewhere. Why not shoot for two hundred fifty the first month and then bump that up to five or six hundred the second month. A few months later you too will have several thousand followers which you will have accomplished by attaining smaller goals along the way.

By your setting unreachable, unachievable goals you are setting yourself up for failure. Small, attainable goals will lead to your success as well as to the success of others in your group that you train to establish similar goals.

Remember the expression: inch by inch life’s a cinch, yard by yard life’s hard. It applies to your network marketing business as well.

5 Key Elements of a Great Online MLM Strategy for 2010 Explained.

PT. 2 What Is Your WHY?

In yesterday’s article I discussed how critically important it is for anyone serious about exponential growth in their business this year to focus on implementing an Online MLM strategy.

Today, I want to start unpacking each of these 5 key elements so that by the end of the first week of 2010, you will have a better understanding on how this proven online MLM strategy works, and be better equipped to start putting one in place for your MLM business immediately.

So let’s get started!

The first and most important element of all is to know your WHY?

Why are you involved in MLM / Network Marketing? This question is worth taking the time to ponder for more than just a few minutes and must be compelling enough that it literally keeps you up at night! We all know that the majority of people involved in this industry want Money, Time, and Freedom.

Your why must bigger than just money, time, and freedom. You have to start dreaming again, as though you were a child. Fueling your dreams and aspirations daily, keeps your Why alive, and will help you endure the bumps and bruises that you will face along the way of this journey, better referred to as paying your dues.

Every MLM Company on the face of this planet in terms of marketing will tell you, that you must work on your WHY. Isn’t it ironic that although they beat this into our heads constantly, most fail to really internalize this, and miss the boat!

This is exactly WHY 95% of people involved in any MLM endeavor fail. They understand the concept of MLM, understand how this industry can literally change their lives for the better, have a Billion dollar opportunity in their hands, and still complain to you every single day on WHY they are still in the same situation that they have been in for the last 5 years.

These people are either too comfortable, or too afraid to step out of their comfort zone to attain the things they really want in life. I am willing to bet that if their boss told them to stand outside of the office with a sign in hand, like teenagers do these days for Little Cesar’s Pizza, they would do it in a New York second in order to keep a job that they Hate going to every single day? This is absolutely insane!

With that being said, the bottom line here is that if you are planning to win big in your MLM endeavor and on the internet this year, you must have a WHY that is so big that it gets you up earlier, or keeps you up later, working towards your dreams daily.

Right now to be exact, it is 4:42am on this cold Tuesday morning, and rather than being in my warm bed with my wife, I am cranking out another lead generating article that will help me move closer to my goals for 2010.

So now that I finally concluded beating this dead horse, let me give you a few resources that will help you in regards to working on your WHY today!

Magazines: Pick up a few that interests you. Exotic cars, vacations, homes etc.

Dream Board: Cut out pictures and post them everywhere in your house as a reminder.

Field Trips: Visit places, test drive the car of your dreams, research your dream home, window shop.

I Am Statements: Self affirmations that will help you see yourself where you want to be by internalizing it now! Example: I am a Six Figure Income Earner in MLM.

These activities are a crucial to your self development and will help you stay laser focused on the mission ahead of you, as people that you know and love question your sanity, and convince you to settle for mediocrity just as they have! Don’t Do It.

Now that we have gotten past the WHY, tomorrow I will start getting knee deep into the HOW of a successful online MLM Strategy. You won’t to miss it trust me!

The Top 3 Ways to Lighten Your Phone Before Calling Leads!

I remember the days when I called people I knew and I even called leads from purchased lists and the phone was like a hundred pound dead weight because I had no idea what was going to happen if someone answered the phone and I wasn’t sure I was prepared to deal with their questions or their objections. I would literally write down what I was going to say ahead of time even if I already knew them so I wouldn’t fumble my words when I was on the phone and I could sound confident. I even had written my answers to common objections so I was ready for them. Talk about planning to fail!

I knew then that I was talking to the wrong people, but I didn’t know how to fix the problem until years later. Fast forward to my business now and the phone has never felt lighter. Why? Well, three good reasons:

1. I am part of a marketing system I feel 100% confident about so there is no longer trepidation about trying to talk someone into trying something that hadn’t yet worked for me. I don’t even need to write down what to say anymore because I know that I use a system that works and more than ever I know that if they are not willing to make a commitment to at least try something new, then that says a lot more about them than it does me.

2. People already know me before I pick up the phone to call them even if I have never met them or spoken to them before. I called a guy one time who had just spent three hours online looking at all my stuff. He had seen all my videos and been over my websites and read all my articles. How can you not get confident real quick talking to this guy! The point is, though, that he felt like he knew me already and so he already trusted what I said and was willing to abide by my recommendation.

3. I only call HOT leads. That means I call people who have signed into my website and requested a phone call by leaving their number. By doing that, then I know they are already interested in the concept of network marketing (either because they are already involved or they are considering it) and they want more information on marketing and the system I use. How fast would you follow up if all your leads were smokin’ HOT?

I almost can’t believe I didn’t quit before I found out the right way to market, but I am sure glad I didn’t because I would never have been here to see how much easier it is doing things the right way.

If you’ve ever struggled calling leads or even your warm market to promote your business, then you know exactly what I am talking about. If no one has ever shown you the right way to attract qualified people to call instead, then contact me for a quick tutorial.
